Dear NERSC Users, NERSC is *upgrading the hardware for the Data Transfer Nodes* ( https://docs.nersc.gov/systems/dtn/). These new servers will have a newer operating system, more memory, and faster network interfaces. We plan to *switch to the new servers on October 2, 2023* at 10am (Pacific time). When we make the switch, these new nodes will automatically take the place of the old nodes. You will continue to be able to reach them at their old address (e.g., dtn01.nersc.gov), but the ssh public key fingerprints <https://docs.nersc.gov/connect/#key-fingerprints> for these systems will change and users may be prompted to update the key or warned about the change in host identification <https://docs.nersc.gov/connect/#host-identification-changed>. Ahead of the change, we’ve set up a node where you can verify your data transfer tools and scripts will work as expected in the new environment and we *encourage you to test before the change goes live*. You can *access the new environment at dtn101.nersc.gov <http://dtn101.nersc.gov>*. If you run into any issues on this node, please open a ticket.
