Dear NERSC Users, NERSC will retire the Cori supercomputer in *one week*, on Wednesday, May 31 at noon (Pacific time). Here is a detailed breakdown of what will happen on that date and after. - *At 12:00 noon next Wednesday, May 31, Cori queues will be turned off.* A reservation has been put in place to prevent any jobs from running over, but any errant jobs will be deleted at that time. All jobs in the queue will be deleted. - Cori *login nodes and scratch file systems are planned to be available until 12:00 PST (noon) on June 7, 2023,* to provide a final opportunity for users to retrieve their files off the Cori-specific scratch file system. - *Please save your important files from the Cori scratch file system* to HPSS, your CFS directory, or elsewhere *at your earliest convenience*. If you plan to back up many small files to HPSS, be sure to use the htar utility to concatenate those small files into a larger archive. - Note that your data residing in your CFS directory (/global/cfs/cdirs/ *projectname*), /global/common, or your home directory is accessible on all systems and no action is required. - Please submit a ticket at https://help.nersc.gov with any questions.
